WHO ARE WE?

In various apparitions throughout the world, the most holy Virgin Mary, Mother of God, has repeatedly requested the daily recitation of the holy Rosary. The Marian Apostleship of Prayer is a fraternity of faithful, who have promised to recite the Rosary everyday: a minimum of five decades while meditating upon the appropriate Mysteries: “Joyful” on Mondays and Tuesdays, “Luminous” on Thursdays, “Sorrowful” on Wednesdays and Fridays, and “Glorious” on Saturdays and Sundays.  If someone so desires, they may recite the entire Rosary daily: 20 decades together with 20 meditations on the life of our Lord,Jesus Christ, and the life of His Blessed Mother.

WHAT IS OUR AIM?

The aim of our apostleship — to present our prayers and intentions before the

Throne of the Most Holy Trinity, through the intercession of the Immaculate

Virgin Mary. The intention for the first month of prayer is set by the members

of the prayer apostleship. During the second month, we offer our prayers

of thanksgiving for all graces and blessings received. The intentions will change

every second month. In this way, every month we bring to our heavenly Mother

a spiritual bouquet of roses: 30 Rosaries of petition, or 30 Rosaries

of thanksgiving.

WHEN DO WE BEGIN?   WHEN DO WE END?

We always begin and end on the first Saturday of each month. In her message at Fatima, the Blessed Virgin Mary requested that the first Saturday of each month be dedicated to her. In response to her request, our Apostleship seeks to begin and end on every first Saturday of the month. On these Saturdays, we recite the Rosary before or after the Divine Liturgy, we go to confession, we participate in the Divine Liturgy and receive Holy Communion.

HOW DO WE PRAY?

1. Everyday we recite five decades of the Rosary along with the appropriate Mysteries for the day. In the Eastern Church, we Mysteries of the Rosary for each day are as follows:

  •  Joyful Mysteries  Monday and Tuesday

  •  Luminous Mysteries Thursday

  • Sorrowful Mysteries Wednesday and Friday

  • Glorious Mysteries Saturday and Sunday

2. To announce our monthly intention or thanksgiving, before reciting the Rosary, we say the following BEGINNING PRAYER:

Beginning Prayer of Petition

We recite this prayer during the month of PETITION.

Most holy Virgin Mary, Mother of God, Queen of the holy Rosary: with the ardent love of your Immaculate Heart you have appeared throughout the earth calling us to prayer on the Rosary, that we might receive an abundance of God’s blessing and grace. At this moment, mercifully look down upon us, O loving Mother, and fill our hearts with sincere love and devotion to you, that our meditations today on the /Joyous, Luminous, Sorrowful, Glorious/ Mysteries of salvation may enrich our souls with many blessings and bring peace to the world. We especially offer our prayers for ... (announce the intention.)

Beginning Prayer of Thanksgiving

We recite this prayer during the month of THANKSGIVING

Rejoice Virgin Mary, most holy Mother of God, Queen of the Rosary and our spiritual Mother, rejoice! In profound humility we magnify you, and we offer you this Rosary, as a prayer of sincere thanksgiving for all the graces received through your intercession. May your Immaculate Heart be honoured and extolled throughout the world!

3. We also include the following prayer in our morning prayer rule:

Morning Offering

Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Iadore You profoundly, and I offer You the Most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges, and indifferences with which He is offended. And by the infinite merits of His Most Sacred Heart and of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I ask you for the conversion of poor sinners.

Through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Ioffer to You my prayers, works, and sufferings of this day for the intentions of the Holy Father, the Pope of Rome, for the Holy Church, for all the intentions of our Apostleship of Prayer, designated for this month and for this day. Amen.
